Linux System Engineer

The role is allocated to the Core Services team which handles all operational, cloud management, infrastructure and HW support topics.
Responsibilities
- Local infrastructure administration: Linux
- Maintain technical documentation (procedures, policies)
- Working directly with developers and QA by supporting them in resolving all kinds of technical issues
- Ensure excellent performance of the organization’s applications and platforms
- Assist in the definition of applications architecture and design specifications in local, cloud and hybrid environments
- Perform regular backup checks, HW resources allocation, performance monitoring, validate the integrity of the applications and ensure system availability
- Provides fast and clear communications to other members of the technical team regarding technical topics
- Provides advanced technical support for systems and environments as a whole
Technical experience required
- Proven background working in Software Development flows and familiarity with SDLC
- Strong experience with managing Linux servers
- Maintaining virtualization servers (XenServer, Proxmox, VirtualBox, etc)
- Maintaining software architecture from a network perspective
Nice to have
- DevOps experience and familiarity with CI/CD flows, containerization, repositories, Scripting languages (bash, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with managing databases – SQL and NoSQL
- Cybersecurity experience from a technical perspective (patching cadence, security fixes, certificate management, firewall settings, etc.
- Cloud knowledge like AWS (main) or GCP / Azure (secondary)
- Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence)

- Self-managed and autonomous and taking full ownership of the tasks assigned
